- I’ve received an accommodation letter stating that a student is eligible for note-taking
服务. What are my responsibilities with coordinating this accommodation?
In order to assist with university ADA compliance, it is the professor’s responsibility to request peer note-takers for their courses after receiving a student’s accommodation letter with Note-taking Services listed in their eligibilities. 下面的脚本 is provided on the accommodation letter to assist you in requesting a peer note-taker. Please read this statement, out loud, to your class:
"This class requires a student to take notes each class period. The notetaker selected will receive either UNC Apparel, a certificate for 45 service hours, $45 in dining dollars to be used on campus, or 100美元的津贴. T在这里 are specific requirements for this reward, please talk to the DRC if you are 感兴趣. All rewards will be provided at the end of the semester upon successful completion of their notetaking requirements. - What is the DRC's policy on recording lectures?
学生 recording lectures as a disability accommodation agree to use recordings for personal study only. Recorded lectures may not be shared with anyone else, or 分布式在线.
Instructors may feel that it is inappropriate to record certain class discussions. 学生 are approved to record lectures, but not necessarily discussions in which other students may reveal personal information or self-disclosure. If necessary, students or instructors may ask DRC to help make this distinction.
- How do I fill out exam instructions?
Instructors will receive an email with a link to fill out instructions for each exam scheduled at DRC individually. Instructors may also log in to the Online Instructor Portal and see all of the scheduled exams for their courses and may input exam instructions 在这里. Inputting exam instructions is crucial for the DRC to successfully facilitate exams, so please do so for each exam. If you have any questions please contact DRC@hzjly.net.
- How do I access a completed exam file?
To access your exam, please login to your Online Instructor Portal. Once logged in using your UNC credentials, click on the "选择测试" link 在左边. Then click on "Completed Exam Files" in the upper right. 导航下行 and click "View" on the completed exam/test/quiz. Every time you click on "View" it will generate a new code. For security, you will be sent a six digit verification 电子邮件中的代码.
